Our good friend Matt Erickson passed suddenly this morning. This has left his wife and children without a father and the person who supported them. Barb worked with him in his chiropractic practice, so when they lost him, they also lost the family financial support.

Matt did so much for others, both in his practice and as a friend. I know how much it would mean to him to have us all lend his family a hand and help them pay for the funeral expenses, as well as the bills until the family can get back on their feet.

I will miss our great in-depth, intellectual medical conversations. We could talk for hours about the geeky-est medical stuff. And there was never a time when I needed help out that Matt didn’t find a way to do it. He would go out of his way. The last day I saw him is a perfect example of his kindness.

I have a friend who needed a nutritional consultation. I don’t practice here in Florida currently, but I have the training and had worked with Matt in the past. I don’t have the equipment needed, but Matt does, so I called him and asked him if I could come by and use his office. He said sure, even though it meant he had to climb up in the loft and dig around for the kits I needed. He did this strictly from the kindness in his heart and his desire to help others.

This money is needed as quickly as possible to help take the financial stress off of Barb and the kids. All monies will be going directly to Barb. We will all miss him greatly.
