Help Raise Money For My Family In North Carolina Hurricane!
Donation protected
My name is Anslie, and my husband Jonathan and I are trying to raise funds to help my family rebuild their lives after the devastation of Hurricane Helene.
My elderly, 91-year-old mother Jeannette, my autistic niece Mary, and my sister Kim, who is the caregiver to both, just went through Hurricane Helene in Black Mountain, NC, and have lost so much. Thank God they are safe now, but they will need help rebuilding their lives.
They have no running water, no electricity, and are surrounded by traumatic devastation. They are surviving on little as they wait for their town to get back to normal. Everyday they are learning about those that passed, are still missing or those that are still stranded and need rescuing. It is never ending and a new shock every morning. It is so hard for them to keep positive, but they are, along with the lovely, resilient community of Black Mountain.
Right now, they are living on the kindness of wonderful friends who have stepped in to help as much as they can. However it is going to take months to get running water back into Black Mountain. The dam breached and destroyed the entire city infrastructure.
They will need so much, more than we can provide. Clothing, housing, food, furniture, toys. It is overwhelming with how much they will need.
We live in South Florida but they want to stay in beautiful North Carolina along with their 2 kitties, Kita and Pepper. North Carolina is their home and filled with strong, resilient, amazing people that they love.
I am hoping that you can spare whatever you can to help us help them. Thank you so much!
