Hello,
My name is James Wassinger and I am setting up this fund raising page for my little brother Chris Wassinger.
In the late hours of Monday night April 13, 2015 my brother Chris was suddenly life-flighted, due to bleeding in his brain. We eventually found out that the bleeding was due to a ruptured mass located within his temporal lobe. The neurosurgeons were able to remove this mass and stop the bleeding.
Chris is currently hospitalized in the ICU and heavily sedated (a kind of medically induced coma) to relax his brain to reduce swelling. If everything goes as the caring physicians say Chris will have a long road to recovery, and may need special medical needs for some time.
As a big brother I have always tried to protect my little brother and to help him in any way possible. This event has rendered me, as a big brother, helpless. The fact that there is nothing that I can do to make him better or take his pain away kills me. I know that the only thing I can do, at this point, is be there for him, but I want to try to do more.
Chris is only 27 and a father of a 4 year old little boy, my nephew. His family is young and just starting out. I don't want this to financially burden them and see them suffer any more than they have to because of this tragic and unforeseeable event.
Please help me raise money for my brother's piling medical bills, you will be helping a big brother do more for his little brother, and helping a family worry less about money and more on the important issue - Chris' health and recovery.
