Bringing Ryan Home
Donation protected
Update: thankfully the funeral home is willing to work with my Aunt and they were able to have him transported last night. With the biggest concern finally taken care of, donations can now go directly to paying for services rendered and an urn for his ashes. Thank you to everyone who has donated. You guys are amazing. My family is eternally grateful.
Hello, my name is Trisha. On Monday, December 14, 2021, my cousin, Ryan Long passed away in his sleep. Ryan was only 36 years olds. His mother, who lives in Northern Pennsylvania, would prefer to have his body brought to a funeral home in Harrisburg, PA where she would be able to say her final goodbyes to her youngest of three children. Kimmel's is also where his father was cremated along with lost loved ones. His mother is disabled and lives on a fixed income and the sudden passing of my cousin, has the family scrambling to find the means to bring him home and provide him with the funeral he deserves. Ryan suffered from severe mental illness. we are all in a state of shock as we try to bring him home. We have 48 hours to find a means of transport or they will send him to another facility in Philadelphia.
Ryan was an intelligent young man and a hard worker. Sadly, unexpected circumstances, led to the devastating loss of my cousin. We want nothing more than to lay him to rest with respect and dignity. I wasn't sure exactly how to help our family so here I am, reaching out to family, friends and strangers of the internet in hopes that I can give my aunt and Ryan's siblings one last moment with him. No mother should have to bury their child without seeing them one last time.
I genuinely appreciate you taking the time to read my pleas for help. I am struggling to find the words to express what I want to say, so I will end here.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
