Replacement Camera

Dear family, friends, colleagues and students:

As you all know, I have two passions. One is music and the other is photography. For as long as I can remember, both loves have consistently intersected, in that I’m always taking photographs before and after performances. My photojournalism has definitely grown in the past 30 years. I started with disposable cameras, graduated to capturing images via ipad, and ultimately secured a Nikon digital camera. Unfortunately, this past summer, my camera was destroyed by water damage. After sending it to the Nikon service department, I was disheartened to learn that it could not be repaired. 

I could use your help to obtain a new camera. If my photography has impacted you in any way over the years, as my one birthday wish, please consider donating to my fund to purchase a Nikon D850 DSLR camera ($3,296.95) and lens ($1,100). This is an exceptional camera that would allow me to turn my photos into murals. It also has 4K video capability, amazing focus, very fast shooting ability (9 frames per second) and works well in low lighting.
