A loving father of 10 ages ranging from 30-7 years old. A grandpa to 3 with 1 on the way due in August. He was a genuine and loving person, always helping those when and if he could. Whether it was a meal, his last couple bucks or even a place to crash for the night. Or sometimes even long term on more then 1 occasion for friends. He was known as Pops around the neighborhood and to all our friends.
He spent most of his adult life working as a mechanic until he was no longer able to, which resulted in him loosing his home. He was homeless for a few years but finally found a home in Visalia. He became a single dad in 2014 shortly after my youngest brother was released from the NICU. My mom had multiple strokes and was moved to a nursing home. My dad then fell ill in 2015 with liver disease and multiple other issues health wise. He overcame them all over the years and had been ok, never 100% back to his healthy self but he was surviving.
He went through alot over these last few years but maintained it all while raising the kids as best he could with the help of my brothers. His spirit never broke and he was always so positive with things working out how they were meant to be.
He is survived by his 10 kids, wife, 3 grandkids, 2 brothers, 1 sister and both parents.
My brother found him on his bed unresponsive April 24th and called 911. We wont know for sure what the cause of death was but know he passed sometime after midnight. Tulare County where he resides doesn't perform autopsies if it's not a suspicious death. As this was unexpected we're hoping to raise funds to properly put him to rest. Any and all donations are appreciated. Thank you
