Hurricane Ian Recovery for Vickie and David

Hello Family/Friends,

On September 29th, the day after Hurricane Ian destroyed Ft. Myers, FL. Our Mother called us crying, "we lost everything, we lost everything." We were heartbroken and speechless. We reminded her that her and David’s safety was the number one priority.

During the storm surge, the water pushed up through their air vents system, and water levels rose to 9ft, destroying everything. Their home, vehicles, furniture, appliances, clothing, and basic human necessities were damaged in the flood waters.

They are still without electricity and bare essentials four days after the hurricane.
My siblings and I will drive to Fort Myers once the roads are safe and cleared to help clean up and save whatever is salvageable. We ask family and friends for prayers during this healing and rebuilding time.

During this time, Mom and David have been incredibly encouraged to receive text messages and calls with uplifting words. Two months prior to Hurricane Ian her homeowner's insurance dropped her policy. This makes it extremely devasting, given that you can not buy homeowners insurance during hurricane season.

We know there are thousands of stories like this, but we hope that even a small donation will help to start rebuilding their lives. Your donations will go directly to Vickie and David to help secure a house, vehicles, food, clothing, and pet food.

For other ways to give, please feel free to reach out to Jacquelyn.

Warmest regards,
Jeremiah, Jonathan, and Jacquelyn
