A good friend of mine is being honored in Washington DC on May 19th, she was asked to bring the person who was her biggest supporter, she has chosen me.

I am not at liberty to discuss the details of this award just yet, but I will update as soon as I am able.

I am so proud to be a part of her life. And so honored to be asked.

I met her through my time with CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates of Sacramento). I was her advocate while she was in high school and foster care. She has gone on to graduate college from Howard University. Since graduating she moved back to Sacramento and is working for Americorps, and also advocating for foster children, and foster programs.

It is my hope that you will share and donate what you can to help me get to Washington in less than a month, so I can be there to support and honor her.
