Columbia Raas 2023-24

Hey there!

We are Columbia Raas, the only Garba-Raas team at Columbia University! We are a fast-paced, high-energy, competitive dance team that celebrates the energy and rich heritage of Raas Garba, a traditional folk dance originating from the Indian state of Gujarat. We dance to preserve Indian culture and promote diversity through performances on Columbia's campus and across New York City.

We are beyond excited to announce that we got into 9 different competitions this year, a momentous achievement for our team! We are thrilled to represent Columbia University on various platforms across the country, but due to the financial aspects of these competitions being challenging for a student-led organization, we need YOUR help. We plan to have a full-fledged comp season by attending 3 competitions this spring. Unfortunately, our team doesn't have the funds available so this year's fundraisers are more important than any previous year.

Any contributions to our GoFundMe will be utilized to cover travel expenses, registration fees, and other essential costs associated with participating in these competitions.
