UPDATE:

The helicopters have gone, the sirens have silenced and power is mostly restored. 2 weeks after this hurricane hit....what remains is the aftermath. Our roof is very damaged and now leaking.  We had a roofer come by today who said $4,000 just to do a partial fix on our roof damage. Our a/c ducts have been blown and torn in a way that the air just blows underneath our house, not inside....FEMA is a slow process without guaranteed relief. We've applied for every other benefit we know of.  There's not much more we can do.  I have not been able to work since the storm.  So,  I'm running this one more time.
