SKIN GRAFT PROCEDURE

In March of 2023 I under went a pretty big surgery, everything went well except for one area of the incision. There was vascular compromise to that area of skin and I ended up with a wound on my back measuring 10in x 8in with 2in depth.

For the last 8 weeks I have been unable to work and we’ve exhausted the little bit of funds we did have on paying for medical supplies, critical care supplements, weekly co pays, hospital visits and the wound vac I’m on.

The good news is that I’m am finally reaching the end stages of my healing journey! Next week I will be off of the wound vac and moving onto the next step, a SKIN GRAFT!

The bad news. Unfortunately (after insurance) we are still left with a big portion to pay in order me to undergo the skin graft procedure. I desperately need this skin graft so the wound can finally close and so that I can go back to working. Being off work has been a huge strain on our family; I am the care taker of my disabled mother and we have children as well. My husband works full time but even so we are struggling and as a family of 5 we desperately need me to get back on my feet. And back to working.
