Sometime on July 17th, ICE came to my house and placed my dad in ICE custody. His family is completely devastated and worried for him. My dad has his whole life here - his parents, his siblings, and his kids. No matter your view on immigration, he is someone’s son, brother, grandpa, uncle, and father. We are doing our best to help my dad, but frankly, we are in the dark and don’t know our next steps. We have a lawyer and costs have quickly started to add up. If anyone knows of any resources to help out my family and I or of any way to get in contact with him, please let me know. We ask for a huge amount of prayers at this time, mostly for my dad’s safety. Hug your people a little tighter for me, cause I wish I did.

El 17 de julio, ICE llegó a mi casa y puso a mi papá bajo custodia. Su familia está completamente devastada y preocupada por él. Mi papá ha vivido toda su vida aquí: sus padres, sus hermanos y sus hijos. Independientemente de tu opinión sobre inmigración, él es hijo, hermano, abuelo, tío y padre de alguien.
