Kaylee's Fight
Donation protected
On Friday, March 10, my sister received a phone call that no parent ever wishes to receive. The person on the other end of the phone said, "Your daughter was hit by a car late Thursday night. She needs brain surgery, and she may or may not make it through surgery. If she does make it, she will most likely suffer serious brain injuries."
Since that night, Kaylee has been fighting for her life. She had extensive damage all over her body. She has suffered a traumatic brain injury, punctured femoral artery, punctured lung, broken leg, basal fracture, broken vertebrae, road rash, and bruises all over her body. They worked hard for the first 24 hours to get her stabilized. She had multiple blood transfusions. Her vitals were all over the place.
If you know Kaylee, you know that she is a fighter! She is not only a student at Arizona State University, but she also works at Black Rock Coffee Coffee, and she is the best big sister and daughter anyone can ask for! She is 19, and that has been her saving grace! She continues to improve daily and defy all of the odds. The hospital nurses and doctors continue to be amazed by her. If you have ever spoken to a surgeon, you know that they don't often use the word amazed!
Kaylee will need to go through another brain surgery and will need extensive rehabilitation.
If you are able to donate a few dollars to help with her medical expense, it would be greatly appreciated. If you aren't able to, we will take your prayers, good vibes, and well wishes.
You can also donate directly to her mom's Venmo account @Heather-Montoya-11.
Thank you in advance for your support!
