As many of you have heard already, on February 6th 2025, Rachel and John received the news that no parent should ever hear. Jake was diagnosed with a brain tumor and underwent the first of two surgeries on February 10 at Children's Hospital. Unfortunately, due to the vascularity of the mass, the surgeon could not remove the entire tumor.

With some minor bumps along the way...Jake has been recovering like a true champ and his strength and determination will prevail. Jake is currently on a rehab floor and is working hard to get home. The pathology of the tumor is a Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma (large and weird, but benign, yay!), but there is still a long road ahead.

We are raising money to help cover Jake's medical expenses and John and Rachel pledge to donate any remaining money to the Children's Hospital or JPA research.

John and Rachel have given so much to our Boulder community and we are so lucky to have them as friends. Now it is our time to help make this difficult road a little easier. Thank you in advance for your support.
