Hello, my name is Betzaida Cruz. Betzy for short. I am asking for help to pay my bills and rent til I push on to finding work.

I have been keeping this apartment stable and over my head for a year as a Freelance Artist. Each month has been difficult, but I was able to succeed as I pushed onward. This month of August was rather tricky.

This fund is essential to me as I have pets and can not see myself being separated from them. They've registered Support Pets who have helped me down this road as I go thru therapy for my Chronic Depression, Anxiety, and High Stress. I also have Glaucoma, a shocking discovery for me when I was only 21. I am 35, jobless, with a right eye that is legally blind. My left eye is already showing signs of speeding up toward blindness. I HAD the surgeries, but the Glaucoma is stable, and I will always have it. Back to the importance of why this fundraiser is essential. With every application, I have placed and given either offline or online. I am still unable to find work. The reason for drawing is to make a living. Paying my bills and rent, which thankfully includes my utilities. Art has brought me to burnout, which can be toxic for anyone. I kept pushing and pushing. I'm seriously making myself sick by staying up late hours of the night to the following day. I sometimes even forget to eat. I'm thankful my pets HAVE food. I make sure they eat before I even think of myself.

This has been a crazy year for all of us. The funds will be used for Rent and Bills for the next few months as I search more for work. It will also make sure to keep my pets fed.

They need me, and I need them. I have grown tired. I've been as strong as I can be to change myself and do my best. With all the Doctor Appointments, Therapist Meetings, and fighting for Disability.

I don't want to be separated from my pets, and I have nowhere to go. Anything helps as I keep pushing the best I can right now. Please help us out here, and thank you.
