“This is organized for the Ramirez family. Early in the morning of November 28th, our house had completely burnt down along with all of our belongings. My dad, Hugo Ramirez, made it out with burns on his hands, arms, chest, and back after saving our two dogs. My mom, Monica Ramirez, being stuck on the second floor had jumped out three stories being caught by my dad and Maverick’s girlfriend, Marley. My mom only had a bump on her head and a sprained ankle thanks to them breaking her fall. Marley received a broken wrist from this but thankfully no burns.

My old brother Maverick is a real-life hero though. He had made it outside unharmed but once he realized our mom wasn’t outside he ran back in through the basement up three stories with no glasses or contacts or even knowing if there would be floor for him to stand on. Not knowing our mom jumped out right before he got there he searched for her for minutes until he himself had to run out with major burns.

Thankfully everyone was able to make it out alive and be brought to the hospital. My mom and Marley have been discharged and are set up in a hotel waiting for Maverick and our father to undergo skin graft surgery.

Anything will be appreciated to help them with groceries and other bills in their time of healing.”
