Hi, my name is Zainab, and I am fundraising for earthquake relief in Myanmar (Burma).

I am Burmese, and the majority of my maternal family lives in Myanmar. The recent earthquake has left many people in desperate need of food, clean water, medical supplies, nappies, and sanitary products. With the political situation unstable, official aid is limited, and people are having to rely on each other to survive. Many are sleeping on the sides of roads with little to no access to tents or proper medical care.

While my family and friends in Yangon were not as badly affected, they are in a position to help. My family works in import and export, which allows them to source and transport essential supplies efficiently. The funds raised will go directly to trusted individuals in Myanmar who will purchase and distribute emergency aid to those in need as quickly as possible.

The main focus will be on emergency relief, but any extra funds will go towards clothes and building materials to help people rebuild their lives.
