I'd like to introduce little Penny she's about 2 years old and has come to us because her previous owner could no longer keep her due to personal circumstances.

She suffered a trauma to her head a while back and as a result needed surgery (her profile photo is pre op) but due to financial circumstances this wasnt done.

It cost allot of money to get her to us and she had to have emergency surgery shortly after she arrived to remove her eye.

It also turned out she needed to have dental surgery as well.

I have set up this go fund me page to help towards all the costs in getting her to our home and the vets bills incurred to date.

We were in close contact with the Dachshund Rescue charity for their help and advise, they very generously helped with fronting the costs for the emergency surgery due to us starting as a foster home at first, but she is now adopted by us, they have been amazing! therefore we really wanted to try and raise funds to donate back to the charity as well for Dachshunds that are in need, they do such a wonderful job we can't thank them enough.

There have been some big hurdles and she has been through so much in the few weeks we have had her and she has been nothing but loving, and although it's still early days, she is settling in very well.

She has been poorly which we are working closely with our wonderful vet to investigate, possible food intolerances, but she had a wonderful christmas and was spoilt with toys, blankets, treats and cuddles as always.
