Greetings,
My name is Jennifer Henry, and I have recently been diagnosed with Invasive Ductile Cancer, or Stage III Breast Cancer.
I am the mother of two beautiful boys, Adian age 4 years old, and Sevron age 4 months old. In addition to raising my two boys, I am blessed with a wonderful husband, Mark, and a career managing Cape Cod Docks that fortunately has not deserted me.
The cancer diagnosis came as a shock to myself and my family (as I'm sure it does to most of us), and although I had high hopes of continuing my daily life without interuption, the chemo therapy, and surgeries ahead of me have guided me on another path for the upcoming year. My days are now filled with doctors appointments, nausea, body aches, lots of medication, and as much rest as I can find the time for.
My husband is doing his best to provide for our family, however, we have been reduced to a family of four living on a single man's salary, with hospital bill after hospital bill arriving daily in the mail.
My employer, and extended family, Cape Cod Docks, has gratefully reserved my position as general manager, for my healthier and stronger days to come. (And they can't come soon enough.)
I find it very humbling to be in this situation that I reach out and ask for your help, but am confident that with your help, I will beat this demon and return to a "normal" life...stronger than before.
Yours truly,
Jennifer
