Help Save My Precious Georgie!
Today he was diagnosed with Addison Disease. He is in pretty bad shape and I need to raise $2,207 to cover the rest of his VET bill. He has been admitted to the Veterinary Emergency Group in Hoboken. If I do not raise this money by tonight, I will be forced to bring him home where he will definitely pass away.
Addison’s Disease, scientifically known as hypoadrenocorticism, is a disease with serious consequences for dogs. Although, fortunately, with proper treatment, dogs diagnosed with Addison’s disease are expected to have normal lifespans. Addison’s disease occurs when the adrenal glands fail to produce the hormones that they are in charge of in the body. The most important hormones produced by the adrenal glands are steroids, particularly aldosterone and cortisol. These steroids play a large role in regulating your dog’s internal organs and body systems. Without them, your dog’s body deteriorates, leading to serious complications and even death. I was only able to pay part of his bill but he needs to stay overnight to be treated. The $2,207 is the current balance. His heart rate is extremely low, as well as his blood pressure which the Vet is working diligently to get under control. Any contribution to bringing Georgie home is greatly appreciated.
