Help SDL with The Humaning App

I never thought I’d need to ask for a little help with this, but it’s at that point.
People love the Humaning App (formerly known as The Single Dad Laughing App)!
I’m also a bit in over my head with this thing (okay, maybe a lot). It was supposed to be a simple project that took a couple months, but here I am well over a year later, my savings depleted, and going into a lot of debt to make this thing work.
You may have noticed that some days tens of thousands of app notifications show up. I’m OCD, and it’s driving me crazy! You may have also noticed that the new sections of the app are still not there. You may have also noticed that the app disappeared out of the Google Play Store. I’m guessing you have noticed some other super fun bugs, too.
Long story super short, I got seriously stuck in the quagmire of a very long, tedious relationship with a development company overseas who disappears without communication for very long periods of time, has cut so many corners, finally delivered me an app which breaks Google’s policies somehow, and who has made it all so difficult. Pity, really. They were so amazing when they first started.
Urgh. Anyway… The Humaning App is *so* close to working and firing on all cylinders. It is *so* close to bringing us all those extra sections we’ve been waiting for. It’s so close to becoming what it can be. I don’t want to give up on this thing, and I need your help.
I can keep beating my head against a wall with this developer, or I can hire new developers who can fix it, and work out the kinks, and add what needs added. App development is expensive, though, and I’m reaching out to all of you to please help me get this app to the finish line.
I really don’t think there is anything more difficult for me than asking for help from others. Life has a way of saying, “dude, you think you can be prideful and do it all on your own forever? I think not.” And so, if you’re willing to spare an extra few bucks to get this community project going… I’ll swallow the humble pill, ask for help, and promise you an amazing app with amazing content for many years to come. We just gotta get it there!
And if you don’t wanna (or can't) help out, seriously, no worries. Just using the app every day is a help by itself!
