Tenbear's Strong
We, the family and friends of Christopher "Tenbear" Cyr are asking for your help with support during his second round of cancer. He is so strong, but finances are not.
In 2012, within a year of leaving college Christopher was diagnosed with testicular cancer, stage 2.
Inside the initial tumor were two other cancers types - one that would prove valuable to researchers and he readily signed into research programs while undergoing chemo and two surgeries.
His family and team of supporters kept him strong and we can all agree that he kept us strong.
During this time he spoke at events, raised awareness, talked to young people openly about health issues, and encouraged learning and research. He is truly an amazing young man.
In 2013, just over a year after he'd been diagnosed, he was back to work full time; back to life and filled to overflowing with dreams and hope and an appreciation of life far more intense than ever before.
Within a year it was obvious something was wrong and his strong team of doctors began searching for the cause. Working full time became more and more difficult.
In October 2014 he was again diagnosed with a rare cancer. This time, the research team that had learned so much from their study of him, became his primary team.
He's a good man. He's strong and giving, loving and empathetic. And the plan is to win.
During the last few years the support of his family and strong team of friends, friends of friends, and community been there to help him emotionally and financially. It's been a beautiful and humbling experience of love and caring.
Now we need your help to help him.
Thank you all!
