Help Hannah get a Medical Alert Service Dog
Donation protected
Hello, I'm Hannah—a 19-year-old whose life took an unexpected turn due to Covid. While I've faced multiple health challenges since childhood, Covid magnified my struggles. My journey includes MCAS, EDS, POTS, and severe anxiety, all of which have been intensified by this pandemic.
The prospect of having a service dog has ignited hope in me. POTS, a form of Dysautonomia affecting my heart, sometimes leads to dangerous fainting episodes. A service dog could be trained to alert me in these moments, acting as a lifeline. Moreover, this furry companion could help manage my heart rate and provide deep pressure therapy to minimize the duration of my symptoms.
Imagine being a young adult with the drive to foster and assist others, only to be hindered by the unpredictability of my medical conditions. That's where a service dog comes in—restoring a sense of independence and allowing me to return to the activities I hold dear, like helping those in need, animals and people alike. Before my health took over, I was actively fostering for local animal rescues and was in the process of starting my own nonprofit rescue. In addition I played an active part in my family’s continued foster care ministry which I greatly miss.
The specialized training and care required for a service dog come with significant costs. My goal is to raise $20,000 to make this life-changing partnership a reality. Your support would mean the world to me and help pave the way for a brighter future.
I'm incredibly grateful for your consideration and willingness to contribute. If you'd like to learn more about the organization I'm partnering with, you can find additional information at hopeservicedogs.org. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions—I'm here and more than happy to respond. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
