On December 4th, our family’s world changed in an instant. My sister, Ripley, was in a severe car accident in Anaheim. She was found unconscious at the scene and not breathing. First responders saved her life and rushed her to the hospital, where she is now in the ICU.
Ripley is currently on a ventilator, and doctors have placed a brain monitor to watch for swelling and guide her treatment. She has small brain bleeds, and right now we are in that heartbreaking place of waiting and praying for every small sign of improvement and holding onto hope with everything we have.
Ripley is so much more than what has happened to her. She is a sister, a daughter, a college student, a friend, and one of the smartest, most beautiful people I know. She’s the kind of person who shows up for the people she loves — with support, with loyalty, with a huge heart. She is genuinely an amazing human being, inside and out.
She doesn’t deserve any of this. Seeing someone so full of life, love, and potential fighting in a hospital bed is something no family should ever experience. But we believe in her strength, and we believe she can fight her way back to us.
We don’t yet know what the next days, weeks, or months will look like, only that the road ahead will be long. The medical costs, time away from work, and travel for family will add up quickly. So many people have asked how they can help, and right now the best way is by easing the financial burden so we can stay by her side and focus on her healing.
Any amount helps, and if you can’t donate, please share this and keep Ripley in your thoughts and prayers. Our family is beyond grateful for the love and support already being sent her way.
Thank you for supporting my beautiful, brilliant, loving sister during the hardest moment of her life. ❤️
