Fight for Owen

Update 5/14/23

Owen is a 6 year old who has been diagnosed with a CNS Sarcoma. It is an extremely rare form of brain cancer occurring in roughly .2% of cases of intracranial lesions. Owen’s Fight has not been an easy one. Since November 22nd, 2023 he has had two emergency craniotomy’s, a major brain hemorrhage, completed two rounds of chemotherapy with adverse reactions to chemo which has resulted in two different code events. Owen is currently half way through his six and a half weeks of radiation daily. After radiation is completed Owen will receive 6-8 more rounds of chemotherapy.

Currently with radiation, Owen and his family are traveling 2 hours each day to and from treatment. This will continue for a few more weeks, then until December, they will make 12-15 trips per month between chemo admissions, lab work and additional hospital stays.

I have set up this account to help with the many medical expenses and financial needs they will face in this difficult journey. Josh and Megan are small business owners. The devastating diagnosis alone is more than any parents should have to face, yet they also have the unimaginable stress of running their business while watching Owen fight cancer.

Please, consider donating, and keep Owen, his identical twin brother Rhett, his sister Collins and his Mom Megan and Dad Josh in your thoughts & prayers.

We believe in the power and prayer and healing. Owen Ragsdale you are a Warrior!

Love and thanks to all!

Original post.

Hi, my name is Jerri Hosey, I am fundraising for my great nephew Owen Ragsdale. (I am Owen's Granny Kerri Ragsdale's sister.)

Owen has been diagnosed with a CNS Sarcoma. It is an extremely rare form of brain cancer occurring in roughly .2% of cases of intracranial lesions. Owen is preparing and getting ready for chemotherapy this week. This is just the beginning of this fight.

Jerri Hosey

I will be adding more details in the updates and I will continue to provide updates to this page as much as possible with status about Owen.
