James "Jimmy Boy" Oliveri passed away at the age of 58 on December 6, 2014 after a short, brutal fight againist Kidney Cancer. Jim had Papillary II Renal Cell Carcinoma which was diagnosed in January, 2014. Jim retired from teaching in June 2012, after dedicating 31 years to a profession he loved. He continued to pursue his "LOVE" of the game and his allegiance with Section XI and continued to Referee High School Varsity Lacrosse and High School Varsity Football. He spent 30 years as a Lacrosse Referee and 15 years as a Football Referee.
Jim's family is struggling daily with the financial hardships that his death has brought on. He has five children, with one in his fourth year of college. The family home was sold the end of 2013, so that Jim could begin his retirement and start to enjoy life. Shortly after the sale of his family home, Jim was diagnosed with CANCER. Jim and his wife Sharon decided to rent a home for a year, before deciding how to proceed with retirement plans. Jim lost his battle with CANCER. Four months have gone by and now his wife has to move their famiy again and make a home for their children.
On top of the heartbreak and sadness, and financial strains, a friend and business associate failed to renew Jim's Life Insurance Policy. James "Jimmy Boy" DIED WITHOUT LIFE INSURANCE. The family has been hit so hard with so much. There are Doctor Bills, Hospital Bills, Rent, Moving Expenses, College Tuition, so much more. The list goes on and on.
