Kindness for Kidneys'!

Devastating is the word that comes to mind when Moe shared the news of his Kidney Disease.
Swiftly, Moe’s health has began to fail and he is now Stage 5 of this deteriorating disease.
Not only is that life altering, but debilitating is now the word that comes to mind.
Do you think Moe has become incapacitated by this news? Nope! Not one bit!

Moe embraced this news with Philanthropy! He facilitated a walk for the Kidney Foundation in Boston, MA and raised over $2800.00!!!

For Moe, that still wasn’t enough! He utilized his God given talent of cooking, boiling up batches upon batches of his very own Arkansawce (BBQ Sauce). Envision Frankenstein’s Johann Conrad Dippel in the kitchen!! He sold it at the Exeter Hospital’s Holiday Craft Fair and sold through 7 cases in 30 minutes!!!! Proceeds raised benefited the Kidney Foundation.
All the while, Moe never thought of himself. He was only thinking of funding for a cure!! A remarkable feat to execute while your kidneys are functioning at around 16-18%.

Moe is a Hero to his son, Jackson-age 8 and his daughter, Nevaeh-age 6. To his wife, Amanda, he is her best friend. To all of his friends, he is legendary.

Moe is the size of a linebacker with the heart of bunny! His personality is fun, lighted hearted, kind spirited and gracious. He is a provider and family man and has the work ethic of his once hard working mother and father. He is a role model, just how he was raised

Moe has been receiving his care at Dartmouth Hitchchock Medical Center, Lebanon, NH.
Just a few months back, after careful consideration and meetings with talented doctors, he was placed on a kidney transplant list.

Moe, having an incredibly strong sense of faith and gratitude believed and prayed that he will be Blessed with the gift of a kidney....

Moe is scheduled to receive a kidney transplant on Monday May 18th, 2015 at DHMC!!!!!

The power of prayer and positive energy works! It truly does!!

Kidney transplant surgery will not be easy.  He will remain hospitalized for 7-10 days. Projected recovery time will be at  least 3 months. During that time, Moe and his family will need to live near the hospital for countless testing, check ups and consulting.

The Buckley Family will need to focus their efforts on healing and ensuring Moe's body accepts the foreign kidney.
He will also be required to take medication for the rest of his life.

Why raise money for this family? Why not? Moe is one of us! A human being of the highest. One who lives with integrity and compassion. He is one of us, an Exeter Hospital employee working for our security department, working for benefits and a paycheck.

Why raise money for this family? Because he has a family to raise and feed. Moe’s loving wife, Amanda is currently a nurse’s assistant working at an assisted living facility and is actively pursuing her education for a degree in nursing. She too, has a work ethic that shall be emulated.

Why raise money for this family? Why not! Please take a moment to donate to The Buckley Family. They are givers too, they just need a hand up during this tumultuous time of their kind spirited lives.

Peace~
