Dear Friends and Family,

Thanks to everyone who has donated so far! Your generous donations have me over halfway to my goal.

With your help, I will be representing the United States on the U.S. Deaf Women's National Team (USDWNT). We are currently raising money in order to travel to Italy for the Deaf World Cup, which will take place in June 2016.

U.S. Deaf Soccer is a non-profit organization and we aren’t sponsored,  players have to raise around $5,500 each to travel to each event.

The USDWNT has been to four international soccer events: the Deaflympics in Australia 2005, The Deaflympics in Taipei 2009, the Deaf World Cup in Ankara, Turkey 2012, the Deaflympics in Sofia, Bulgaria 2013, and now this year the Deaf World Cup in Italy! Collectively over the years, our team is undefeated and has won four gold medals. 
I need to reach this goal by June 19, 2016 in order to travel and represent the US in Capaccio, Italy for the Deaf World Cup. With the help of you and your friends and family this dream can become a reality.
 
Here is a quick background to get you acquainted with our team:
All the players have a hearing loss of 55 decibels or more in the best ear.

Although some of us having hearing devices, some of us don’t- so we communicate in various ways: talking, signing, lip-reading, or a combination of the three.

The age range is 15 to 36.

We must take out all hearing devices to compete in these events. This creates two important obstacles that hearing players don’t face: communication and balance.

We are the reigning world champions. We have won the past three Deaflympic gold medals, as well as the last Deaf World Cup.
