Titus Strong
Their story:
On August 31, Our family went to Children's to see a GI specialist because Titus was having trouble gaining weight, throwing up every feeding & had mucus stools. Upon arrival the doctor noticed his stomach was extended. At the time the doctor thought there was a blockage so we were sent for tests. We were rushed from room to room getting different tests & lab work done. They admitted Titus into the PICU & where we were told that he needed to see the Oncologist. He had the highest white blood count this hospital had ever seen, it was almost a million, and if we hadnt been here that day he would've had a stroke in his sleep & died. The next day, September 1st, the Oncology department told us that Titus had a very aggressive form of congenial Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B-Cell. He has an 80% chance of it returning. He has to hit remission on his own or
theres nothing else they can do. Once he does hit remission, between 8 and 9 months of age, he will be going to Tristar in Nashville to begin high dose chemo & radiation to strip his body then he will be getting a stem cell transplant. Right now we will be staying at Children's for all his treatments for these next few months to try to help him go in to remission.
Please help this family with expenses for food and travel. They have a long fight ahead of them. Send them prayers and love. They are having to travel a two hour distance to see Titus and the Covid rules deny the entire family to see Titus. They will use the money for travel and food expenses while living at hospital for months to come.
