My sister, Charise is currently still serving as a missionary in the Singapore Mission and will be released from my full time mission service at the end of this year. While serving, she was successful admitted to the Brigham Young University of Idaho. She is eager to start college in BYU-I, but our family, due to our financial status, cannot fully support her.
She is a very diligent student, with a record of straight As (9A+ 1A 1A- to be specific) upon high school graduation. She was one of the top performing students in her state. The record, after being evaluated to match the US education standard, is reported to be equivalent to a 3.97 GPA. She is determined to further her studies and earn a degree in Accounting.
BYU-I offers academic scholarship, and she is determined in maintaining high performance to secure this scholarship. She is also motivated to work part time while studying at BYU-I to earn extra income. Our family are able to afford her visa fees, accommodation and living expenses while in college, flight tickets to Idaho, and tuition fees. We are currently about $4000 short and to be specific, this $4000 is to pay for the international student deposit that BYU-I requires of every international student and is to be paid up front before they will release the documentation she needs to apply for her visa.
“Sikit-sikit lama-lama jadi Bukit”, which means hills are formed little by little. Any amount of your donation will play a big role in her journey to becoming a successful accountant. We would like to thank you in advance for your time and donations.
