For those who have had the privilege of knowing Leslie in any capacity throughout her life, you have most likely experienced her loving personality, her larger than life laugh and her ability to persevere in even the most adverse of circumstances. Leslie has spent her life being a devoted employee, friend, “fur” mom to her animals and most importantly being a mother to her son, Caleb, who has been her Heavenly angel for 8 years.
In 2022 Leslie was diagnosed with breast cancer which resulted in a complete mastectomy. With little time for recovery, Leslie immediately went back to work in order to continue to support herself. In December of 2022, Leslie suffered a back injury which ultimately has not allowed her to return since. In January of 2023, Leslie was admitted to the hospital and remained for 17 days in the intensive care unit. It is within that time that Leslie was diagnosed with stage four metastatic breast cancer. With this diagnosis, Leslie has been forced into an early retirement and will require continuous treatment and extensive care for the foreseeable future.
As one can imagine, this has been very difficult for Leslie as she’s trying to navigate this new uncharted territory. Outside of the physical, emotional and mental toll this diagnosis has taken from her, the monetary challenges are soon to become a very real & expensive reality. As family and friends rally around Leslie, we want to ensure that we offer her whatever financial peace is possible. If you feel led, Leslie and her family graciously thank you for whatever you are able to provide whether it’s financial or simply lifting her up in prayer.
At this time and as always, Leslie continues to be devoted to the Lord for protection, peace and comfort. As her family and friends, we ask for you to pray that God will continue to carry Leslie through this journey with strength and love that we know only HE can provide.
