I never imagined I'd be in this position, but life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges. Last month, I packed up my life and moved across the country to Florida for a dream job working with chimpanzees at a sanctuary. It was a huge step, and I wouldn’t have had the strength to do it without my best friend—my dog, Zoey. She has been my rock through every major life transition, my constant source of comfort, and truly my lifeline. I wouldn’t be here without her, and now, she needs me more than ever.

Just one month after settling in, Zoey ruptured her cranial cruciate ligament (CCL)—the equivalent of an ACL tear in humans. She’s in pain, struggling to walk, and without surgery, her quality of life will drastically decline. The estimated cost of the procedure is up to $4,000, and after spending everything I had to get us here, I simply don’t have the funds to cover it.

This surgery isn’t just about fixing her leg—it’s about giving her the long, happy, and pain-free life she deserves. She’s been by my side through thick and thin, and now I need to do everything I can to take care of her in return.
