We all know Robert loved fishing in Aberdeenshire and beyond. The River Dee Trust has committed to planting a million native trees along the riverbanks between now and 2035.

It’s one of the biggest nature restoration projects ever undertaken in the Cairngorms, bringing back areas of landscape lost for 2000 years.

Planting native trees along the River Dee provides cooling shade to save our salmon and other threatened species.

We think this is a fitting tribute to Robert given his love of the area and of the great outdoors.
