VEX Robotics Worlds Championship
Donation protected
On Saturday, March 9th, Capitol City Robotics team #17760C won the Design Award at the DC VEX IQ championship. The Design Award is awarded to the team that demonstrates the most effective and efficient robot design process and is evaluated based on the content of the team's Engineering Notebook and an intensive interview. Pretty impressive accomplishment for a young middle school team that formed just six months ago! With this honor, the team is now eligible to join other teams from around the world in the VEX IQ Worlds Championship from April 28 - 30. We have a lot of preparation ahead of us, including fundraising! Entrance fee alone is $975. Plus, there's travel, lodging, food, team T-shirts, pit decorations, and expenses we haven't even thought of yet. The team members are planning fundraising activities at their schools, but in order to pull this off, we'll need the help from others in our community.
