Dear Supporter,
The past year has been a trying time, and hardship has been felt by all, including the members of the law enforcement community. In 2021, 559 Officers lost their lives in the line of duty. Included in those 559 Officers were four from Massachusetts. Detective Michael J. Dion, Chicopee Police Department, EOW: 11/ 10 221 (Heart attack), Police Officer Loi Huu Ha UMass Memorial Medical Center Police Department, EOW: 10/21/21 (COVID19), Police Officer Enmanuel Familia, Worcester Police Department, EOW: 6/ 4/21, (Drowned) and Detective Sergeant Stephen R. Desfosses, Norton Police Department, EOW: 1/13/21, (COVID19).

This year will be my 13th year riding in the Police Unity Tour representing Hopkinton Police and the Massachusetts Officers killed in the line of duty. This honor and privilege would not be possible without your continued support. Knowing and understanding that the cost of living and running a business is on the rise and the unknowing of what the future is on the world stage has caused even more concern. If you are able to donate, no matter what the amount, it would be greatly appreciated.
The Police Unity Tour Chapter II consists of Law Enforcement Officers bicycling from New Jersey to Washington D.C. to honor Fallen Officers who have died in the line of duty. The primary purpose of the Police Unity Tour is to raise awareness of the Police Officers who have died in the line of duty and raise monetary support and awareness of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and Museum located in Washington D.C.

The 4 days Police Unity Tour will begin in South Jersey on May 9,2022 visiting some of the towns where officers have fallen in the line of duty before departing the state en route to the nation's capital. We will ride close to 300 miles en route to the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington DC. The Police Unity Tour is a non-profit organization under section SO 1 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code. (Tax Identification Number 20-8960869 )
The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial was founded in 1983 by members of the United States Congress, who wanted to recognize the services and sacrifices of all enforcement officers who have ever died in the line of duty. Unlike other memorials in our nation's capital, this memorial will continue to grow each year as we honor the officers that have made the ultimate sacrifice.

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund Includes

Operating a Memorial Visitors Center and Museum
Helping families of fallen officers in their time of need
Working towards preventing police fatalities
Researching old and new deaths of officers killed in the line of duty
Conducting ceremonies and other events at the Memorial
Recognizing the anniversaries of all line of duty deaths
Maintenance of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial
