Thank you for checking out our fundraiser for The Orangutan Foundation International (OFI).
I did a report on orangutans in second grade and have appreciated these special creatures ever since. I'm sure this isn't a shock to anyone familiar with our comic book, El Krudo, lol.
Orangutans are an endangered species (there are a few species which are all endangered ) experiencing increased pressure from deforestation activities of their natural environment in Borneo and Sumatra. This is largely a result of increasing international demand for palm oil.
OFI is one of the most respected organizations working on various facets of orangutan conservation, including orphaned animal adoption programs, wildlife conservation, habitat restoration and more.
