On Friday June 27, Trevor was involved in a diving accident at the lake. He was taken by ambulance to Carle in Champaign, where they determined he sustained a significant spinal cord injury. On Saturday, June 28, he underwent neurosurgery to further assess the injury and stabilize his spine. While his treatment team continues to assess his injuries and Trevor begins his long road to recovery, the family will be staying with him in the hospital. Following his treatment at Carle, the plan is to transfer him to Chicago for intensive therapy at Shirley Ryan. Funds raised will be put toward gas money, food and any expense related to his care.
