Update:

We have settled into medical and now rehab in Des Moines. Rodney is doing acute rehab right now, then will likely be headed to On With Life.

He’s stable and making progress. He’s gaining control of both hands and arms, so his fine motor is making quick progress. We are hoping the speech and left leg will follow a similar path.

As a family, we are doing the best we can. However, we are bracing for major remodeling on our house to accommodate his needs down the line.

Hello, my name is Chas. I’m Rodney’s brother-in-law. He’s currently in Mexico on a work trip. Rodney suffered what they believe is a mini stroke last night. He was taken to the hospital, and the scans are clear but because his insurance isn’t valid there he was discharged back to his hotel. Currently he’s awake, but can’t talk, walk, or eat. The hospital would not keep him unless he could pay $16,000.00. There is so much unknown, but what is known is that Rodney needs help and he’s one of the most giving people I know. Please, help anyway you can.
