Recently Brad and Tina received some devastating news. Brad is going to have to have another neck surgery, as his previous one was unsuccessful.
In the past few years, Brad has gone from a healthy, energetic athlete to being severely incapacitated. In September of 2014 he had his three discs of his neck fused. The Allen’s and his Dr. were very optimistic that this surgery would give him back a quality of life that he had been lacking. While he had insurance, the co-pay and extenuating medical bills surrounding the surgery took all of the on hand funds they had. Brad went back to work after 3 months, and has gotten progressively worse. At his last appointment they received the tough news that not only would he need another procedure, he would also have to leave his job of the last 9 years in order to fully recover. His Job has not only provided him with insurance, it also provided them with their home. Fortunately they have been able to secure a new place of residence. However, the cost of the surgery and his insurance is still uncovered.
We have come together as friends and loved ones to start this fund as a way to help Brad and Tina in any way that we can with the cost of this procedure. They have estimated the procedure, insurance, and living expenses during his time of recovery to be around 12K. While they are not asking for this amount in full, anything will help them throughout this time.
As we all know both Brad and Tina have always been so supportive and giving of others in need. They are also some of the most caring and thoughtful people around. Now, it’s time for us to give them a hand. Any help and support for them throughout this trying time in their lives will be very much appreciated.
