Hi everyone, I’m fundraising for my family members that are currently living in Ukraine, which is under siege from Russia. Most of my friends probably don’t know but the only family I have here in the US, is my mom and my grandma. The rest are in Ukraine. My dad, his family, my uncle, my aunts, and my grandmas sisters are all currently hunkering down and planning for the worst. Some are in a better position than others but I’m not convinced that things are going to get significantly better. Some have already packed the essentials in case they need to flee. They will all need some sort of help whether in the short term or the long. Food, fuel, travel expenses, potentially lawyer expenses will all start to pile up.
Below I'll introduce you to some of my family members that are currently still living in the city of Zaporizhzhia in southeastern Ukraine.
This is my dad Alexander (Sasha) and his wife Olga.
This is my dad's daughter and my half sister Yevgeniya and his stepson Andrey
This is my uncle Andrey.
And these are my grandma's 3 sisters Alexandra, Vera, and Liubov.
Thank you to everyone who has donated to the campaign so far. As the situation in Ukraine is changing day by day, my plan all along was to transfer the money to my account and then send the money quickly and safely, as needed to everyone who has been affected. We are trying to stay in contact with them and trying to figure out who needs what amount of financial aid. I will be sending them the donations in increments on a weekly basis as to not waste too much on transaction fees.
I know that now is not the best time for most people financially (myself included), but truly anything you give will absolutely make a difference. Thank you!
