After four and a half years treatment with one of the world's leading experts in tick borne illness, Sara was discharged from the clinic in July 2019. 
Not because she was declared healthy, but because we could no longer afford it.
In a last consultation with her doctor, he stressed the urgency that she continue treatment and follow a strict regimen of supplements until she could find a new treating doctor.
That was in June. I'm writing this at the end of September 2019 and Sara has been without treatment and without supplements, most of them anyway, as we have no money...

Since stopping treatment, Sara has gotten steadily worse and all the hard work, all the improvement in symptoms have been all but zeroed out. Very soon she will be back at square one.

This fundraiser started out as a platform to be able to give Sara the treatment she needs, but due to lack of social network/friends and family, it has gradually shifted to a platform to basically survive; to put food on the table and to scrape up enough to pay rent...

Somehow, we are always falling between the chairs so to speak, and we can’t get help from any authority or volunteer organizations.
