It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved father, Willie “Curt” Gillum, a proud U.S. Army Veteran, who dedicated his life to serving his country and his family.

My dad was more than a veteran — he was my hero, my rock, and the only parent I had growing up. When I was just 9 years old, my mom passed away, leaving him to raise me as a single father. He stepped up without hesitation, working tirelessly to provide for me, guide me, and show me what unconditional love looks like.

As his health declined, I brought him to live with me so that I could care for him, but unfortunately, with all of his health complications and expenses, we were not able to maintain burial insurance.

We are asking for help to give my dad the respectful farewell he deserves, and we will be grateful for any amount.
