Alright friends, my family and I are in a pretty dire situation right now. As many of you know, on Aug 8, I was hospitalized for a week with a diabetic ulcer on my right big toe. It was pretty bad as it had spread into the bone. This led to me having surgery and having my toe removed. While this happened, the bad part is, while I was admitted the first night at NW hospital, my vehicle was repossessed. This was my mom's car that I've been using, she passed in March, but the car had a title loan/lien against it. It happens, it sucks, but it happens. Fast forward a week later, after my surgery and I came home. I wasn't able to get back to work for a few weeks. I actually just got back to my job on Sept 1. We had ZERO income but from the help of some really great friends, we made do.
Although I am now back to work, I really should have had two more weeks off, which I was completely against due to our financial situation. I know, it sucks. I didn't qualify for my companies FMLA
and there's not any shirt term medical disability that I qualified for. So back to work, keep in mind I'm also walking mostly to and from my job. It's not too far, and it's definitely better than the first week I went back, but it some days it's uncomfortable and others it's not. But again, I have to do what I have to do, I do have a family to support, and I would do ANYTHING for them. Including asking for help. Which I am now clearly doing. I'm not proud of this, but what can I do. I'm working as much as I possibly can. Unfortunately, it's just not enough. Recently, we received word from our property manager that we will be being evicted if we don't get our rent caught up. Thanks to my medical vacation, we did miss a couple month's rent and here we are facing eviction. This isn't ideal in the least. So, I'm appealing to all of you and everyone else for help. This is not my proudest moment, by any means. I just want to get by. I'm currently in online high school, getting my diploma, then I'm getting certified to be a recovery support specialist, or peer support drug counselor. That's my long-term goal. Then we will never have to want for again. If you can't donate, I fully understand, if you can please share this link, it goes a long way. Thank you all from all of us in the Robinson/Sixx family. We are very humbled and grateful. Thanks again.
