SERPENDIPITY- An Animated Short Film About the Best Worst Date Is Now Accepting Donations!

Hello! We’re Team Serpedipity, a group of thirteen passionate Character Animation students studying at the University of Central Florida. For over a year now, we’ve been pouring our hearts into creating a fully realized 3D animated short film, with a unique and whimsical premise. Our film will be releasing for an April 2019 premiere, and we are all excited to share it with as many people as possible, both online and in film festivals around the world.
We are an undergraduate program at UCF, and therefore, we don’t receive a budget from the school for our production. Which is why we need your help both before and after premiere! This film is a pure labor of love carried out by us and UCF’s extremely dedicated faculty. Everything in the film, we’ve created from scratch, from the environment, to the animation, and story. Your donation will help us to achieve our dream, and help our film be recognized on the world stage.
From the entirety of the Serpendipity Team,
Thank You So Much For Your Support!

Where is the Money Going?
We plan to use the money to help with our production, rendering, and post processing, to pay our talented composer, and to send our film to film festivals around the world and win in glorious competitions and film festivals!
Our donation tiers are listed below. Please leave an email address when you donate, so we can contact you!

Risks
None! We are absolutely finishing this movie. We just need help making sure it is the best it can possibly be, and it will be seen by as many people as possible! Every donation helps us take it to the next level.

Gordon just doesn’t want to freeze during his dinner date. No, he doesn’t mean out of nervousness (but that too!) but he means it quite literally… because Gordon has a secret: he has snakes for hair, snakes who have a bad habit of turning other people to stone. Will he find love, or is this a date with disaster?

Gordon- A gorgon (a person with snakes for hair) who mostly just wants to live a normal life. He feels embarrassed by the shenanigans his snakes get up to when he’s not paying attention. Will Gordon be able to keep his snakes under control during his date, or will he freeze under the pressure?
Theresa- A kind, but energetic young woman. She hates how ugly her glasses are, and so she decides to forgo them for her date. So, what if all she can see are blurry colors and shapes? That just makes it more fun!
Gage- The waiter for the acclaimed Dragoste Castel. His job is to make sure his guests leave satisfied and so far has never has had a bad service. But something is a little weird with his newest customers...
