This has been a particularly difficult year for our family. On January 1st mykidney transplant which was 5 1/2 years prior failed. I was hospitalized at uw health in madison for several weeks as they attempted to save my kidney. To no avail!. I was discharged to home with a still good working transplanted pancreas. I suffered with poor white blood cell count and low hemoglobin. Was required to go to hospital 3 times weekly for blood work and also had (and continue to have, dialysis 3 times a week for 3 hours each. Due to low hemoglobin cause my bone marrow was producing no blood I had bone marrow biopsy and spinal tap. Had to travel 2 hours each week to get a blood transfusion. All the poor white blood cell counts caused me to break out head to toe with shingles. So was hospitalized again. Shingles finally passed and got a horrible blood infection because of all the blood transfusions so they flew me back to Madison hospitals. The night I was flown to Madison my mother passed away in hospital. We were released a week later and made it home just in time for funeral. Continued dialysis and all kinds of medications as usual. A week or so goes by and I had my 3rd stroke. I was sent back to Madison again but to merritor hospital. My husband always comes and stays by me so has basically not worked all year. I was released from Madison to go home again just to add to my already busy schedule a therapy appointment 2 days per week. Now most recently I went back to er and currently in the er waiting for transportation to go to Madison for pancreas failure. Our family savings is basically gone due to medical travel and normal bills while we barely have any income. Trying to raise money to lessen the burden of this most recent event and make it possible for husband to be able to travel with. God knows we are trying our best. Thank you to all of you for any help.
