On Saturday, January 28th, The family suffered a total loss of their home and vehicles in a house fire in Rixeyville, Virginia. WE ARE LUCKY AND BLESSED TO BE ALIVE. We, however, lost everything in our home. The Hathcock family includes father David, along with his wife, Siqian (Lois), daughters Maggie, 19 (in college in state), Carrie, 19(away in CT) and Mia, 7, their son Charles 2, and dog Akira. While we have insurance, it is unlikely that they will be able to replace everything lost. Many objects of sentimental value were lost in the fire, including many items from David’s time in the military. We are open and grateful for any immediate donations via gofundme or directly. The funds will help our family with our immediate needs: temporary housing, transportation, clothes, and food while waiting for the insurance company and help rebuild their house and lives. We want to thank the Little Fork Volunteer Fire Department and the Culpeper County Fire Department stations for their quick response and immediate assistance in controlling the fire. We are also FOREVER thankful to all of the neighbors in Rixeyville, our coworkers, and the local Masonic organizations for their outreach to immediately aid us during such a traumatic time. Thank you in advance – David Hathcock and Lois Wu
