Stand with Jose in His Time of Need

If you have been to Tequila’s in Bridge City, you probably have heard about Jose Benitez. He is a kind-hearted, friendly, and wonderful server who has been with us for many years. No matter what day of the week it was or how tough life has been, Jose was always welcoming every single person that entered the restaurant with the most heart warming smile.

Unfortunately, he has been dealing with some medical complications. On February 22nd, he was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston after doctors found blood in his brain when he was being treated in the Medical Center. He was in the ICU unit for two days. Doctors found that he was born with Arteriovenous Malformation, which caused his brain to bleed. Adding to this are two aneurysms and his high blood pressure. He is still in need of surgery to drain the blood from his brain. He was given medication, but surgery is needed.

He has no medical insurance or the means to be able to afford this surgery, that’s why we are reaching out to our community to help our beloved friend in need.
