Help for Griffin

Donation protected

This is Griffin my nephew! He is an amazingly
funny bright and happy kid. In all honesty nothing
can ruin his day as long as he can share with you a
story or two about his love for Pokémon or how
much he enjoys some good snacks!

Griff woke up on Sunday morning with an extreme head ache, and informed his mother immediately he was in pain. It wasn’t long after that he had  collapsed and seized in front of her. Griffin was rushed to the emergency at the General Hospital where he was immediately taken in for a CT Scan. It was discovered he had a brain bleed. This was causing increased pressure to his brain which they needed to relieve. They took him into emergency surgery to remove a portion of his skull and relieve the pressure on his brain. After he had been stabilized, they were able to transport him by Air Ambulance to the new Jim Pattinsons Children’s Hospital JPCH in Saskatoon.
All of his family are by his side patiently waiting for hopeful news.

This little boy has touched so many people
personally with many people remembering the
funniest of stories or jokes about him. We all want him to come back to us and I just wanted to start
this page so we can help in anyway possible for the families. You see, Griffin has a rather large blended family and everyone wants to be there for him so what the family has decided was to ask for help no matter how small from our extended friends,
family and community. We want his Mom and Dad and Step Mom to be there all time with him as his
condition is so fragile right now while they await their next steps, next big tests and surgery.

This young man is only 8 years old. We are asking
for prayers, thoughts and love to be sent to his
room at the Jim Pattinsons PICU.

* A bit about his condition, they’ve found that there was a brain AVM. Blood vessels were constricted and hemorrhage resulted. This is extremely rare and only about 1% of the population will develop it. There was no warning no previous signs or thoughts that something was wrong with him. *

* Griffin is stable at this point and all that is known is that he has a severe
brain injury that has impacted multiple parts of his brain.  We are hoping for the absolute best at this point and just want our boy back!
He’s being kept comfortable under sedation and
remains intubated.*

This has been the most  traumatic 48 hours of his parents lives and we only ask to ease the stress so they can stay with him always without a care in the world. Thank you all so much for taking the time
to read this and to help our Griffin.

We want to all thank the general hospital doctors nurses who worked to stabilize him and the
anesthesiologist who helped keep him asleep and
comfortable during this ordeal.

We ask you all to share this far and wide for us and to keep this boy in your hearts and prayers thank
you all so much!
