We're making over the Teachers Lounge at Winn Elementary and need some help! Please help us makeover their lounge and create a place for them to rest and recharge!
***We've added to our mission. We're wanting to raise enough funds to purchase picnic tables for an outdoor teaching area.***
Project:
Our goal is simple:
1. Make an inviting space for teachers. We'll be purchasing a sofa, art, a few plants, and some soft pillows and throws to makeover the space.
2. Create an outdoor space where teachers can take their classes outside to have another area to teach by cleaning up the grounds and providing picnic tables.
About Winn:
Winn Elementary is an east Austin school that serves primarily underpriviledged children. With over 80% of the children coming from economically disadvantaged homes, you can imagine how hard the teachers work to help these kids succeed. It's not unusual for teachers to spend their own money on their classrooms and helping students and this is certainly the case at Winn Elementary. Help us help the teachers that are making a difference in the lives of so many children.
