Hi, my name is Priscilla and I am fundraising for my mom, Ibtisam, who has stage 4 cancer. Ibtisam is an amazing mother of four daughters and loving wife to her husband. My mom was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer in 2019 and had part of her lung removed to clear her body of the cancer cells. A couple months post surgery, she realized her symptoms were returning but doctors said that her scans looked great and there was no cancer in her body. After 5 months of being dismissed by doctors who didn't show any regard for her concerns about the pain, we got the news that the cancer returned and spread throughout the lining of her lungs and lymph nodes. CT scan reports showed that there was an abnormal growth in her body months prior, but doctors had not bothered to mention it to us. From the time that we had approached doctors and specialists about my moms unusual but familiar pain, the cancer was spreading. After finding out about this, we asked why nothing was done but the doctor said he thought it was just scar tissue and wanted to keep an eye on it. Ibtisam has now reached stage 4 while doctors did nothing to prevent this. I am starting this fundraiser because doctors told us she cannot be cured and has maybe a year or two to live, but we believe otherwise, and the help she needs is found in other countries which we cannot afford on my dads single income. Any donation would help immensely as we are willing to try anything to give her hope.
